The American Classic Belt | 10oz Wickett & Craig English Bridle
The Belt Your Grandfather Wore.
There was a time when a man bought one good belt, and it lasted him the rest of his life. We still build that belt. The American Classic is the foundation of the Hellhound workshop - an return to true, heavy-duty American craftsmanship. Designed to replace every failing department-store belt in your closet, this piece is built from a single heavy strap of full-grain leather. No cardboard fillers. No cheap fabric cores. No layered glue waiting to split apart. Just raw, unyielding leather and solid brass.
A Single Strap of Full Grain Hide.
We cut this belt from heavy 10oz full-grain English Bridle leather sourced from the legendary Wickett & Craig tannery in Pennsylvania. This hide is incredibly dense, providing enough structural rigidity to serve as an everyday carry or work belt without sagging, yet supple enough to break in beautifully to the shape of your waist. The edges are meticulously dressed for a premium finish. Anchored by heavy-duty, solid brass hardware, this belt doesn't just survive daily wear, it gets better with every mile.

The Sizing: Bespoke Fitment | See Below for Measuring Instructions
Please do not provide us with your pants size. Retail clothing relies on "vanity sizing," meaning a size 34 pant is rarely an actual 34 inches. If you order your pants size, your belt will not fit, and your gear will not carry correctly.
To ensure your belt is built with uncompromising precision, we require a "True Measurement." Grab a flexible tailor's tape measure:
Wearing your favorite pants, measure around yourself where you normally wear your belt and pull the tape measure snug, but do not cinch it aggressively tight. Record the exact number in inches. This is your True Measurement, and it is exactly where we will set the center hole of your new Hellhound belt, giving you plenty of adjustment room in either direction.
