ABOUT HELLHOUND LEATHER
THE INDEPENDENT CRAFTSMAN
Hellhound Leather began, without a name, in early 2003 when I found myself looking for a leather holster for my first gun. As my search broadened and my efforts proved fruitless, I decided that if I needed a holster and wasn't satisfied with what others offered I would make one myself.
Thus began my journey of self-taught leather craftsmanship.
Over the course of many years, mostly while creating custom pieces for friends and family, I honed my skills and expanded my craft to include a wide range of leather arts where my focus was on both beautiful form and faultless function. I take great pride in my work and demand the highest quality of myself and those things that I create. I cannot rest until I've solved a problem or built a piece that I'm truly satisfied with.
Like many leathercraft hobbyists, my art was limited to the short hours after my full time job - squeezing in what little time I could, whenever I could. For years I tried to balance the drudgery of stable employment against the joy of my craft.
Finally, the universe gifted me with an opportunity and I took a leap. I decided, like before, to rely on myself and now I follow my bliss.
Hellhound Leather Company was named and officially founded in the spring of 2018 in the quiet Utahn foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Inspired by the local outdoors culture and the beauty of the land we love, we strive to capture that unfaltering western can-do spirit. Gavin employs traditional methods to handcraft every piece - promising quality with that personal touch.
At Hellhound Leather Company, we take great pride in our craft. Whether you are buying something from our shop or working with Gavin on a custom piece, we want you to be 100% satisfied.
We stand behind our work and we guarantee the quality and longevity of our product. If you're at all dissatisfied with work from our shop, contact us and we'll do all we can to make it right.
